چکیده
A series of ZnBr2 impregnated on rice husk ash silica catalysts were synthesised via the wet impregnation method for CO2 cycloaddition to styrene oxide reaction. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis indicates that resulted in deterioration silica's pore channels. Catalyst with 0.5 w/w% Zn (0.5 wt %ZnBr2-SiO2) was highly active oxide. conversion (StO) 89.1 %, carbonate (SC) selectivity 92.1 % under optimum conditions (130 °C, 60 bar, 3 h and solventless). Additionally, universality %ZnBr2-SiO2 also studied other epoxides, it shows good excellent activity. catalytic performance remains constant after being reused three consecutive times. activation energy reaction determined be 89.06 kJ/mol.

Rice Husk Ash-Derived Silica Nanofluids: Synthesis and Stability Study
Nanofluids, colloidal suspensions consisting of base fluids and nanoparticles, are a new generation of engineering working fluids. Nanofluids have shown great potential in heat/mass transfer applications. However, their practical applications are limited by the high production cost and low stability. In this study, a low-cost agricultural waste, rice husk ash (RHA), was used as a silicon source...

متن کاملEvaluation of Coal Waste Ash and Rice Husk Ash on Properties of Pervious Concrete Pavement
The use of pervious concrete has been significantly considered in recent years. This consideration is due to the properties of pervious concrete in relating to the environmental sustainability that is utilized in the effective management of the runoff from rainfall. Coal extraction and rice husk obtained from milling, produces wastes that have no application and followed by environmental pollut...

This study comparably assessed the pozzolanic effect of silica fume (SF) and ground rice husk ash (RHA) as supplementary cementing materials on the properties of blended cement pastes and concretes. A commonly commercial silica fume (SF) and locally-produced rice husk ash (RHA) samples with two finenesses (one with larger size than cement and the other with smaller size than cement) were used i...
